Felix’s Spanish Language Camp Experience in San Sebastián

San Sebastián has been one of the most enjoyable places I’ve ever visited. I had so many great experiences, saw some amazing scenery, tried lots of delicious food and made friends for life. I also found the Spanish classes really beneficial. There was a big focus on speaking Spanish and putting what we learned into practice, which was very different from the way I’m used to learning at home. This really helped me become more confident when speaking the language.

🌊 Beach Days in Gros

One of the highlights of my trip has been spending time at the beach, particularly in Gros. The Gros neighborhood had loads of surfers, locals, and shops. Every morning, watching the waves roll into Zurriola Beach created the perfect to start the day. The beach is famous for its surfing conditions, and it is easy to see why so many people come here to enjoy the sport. A lot of the activities we had took place on the coastline, it was a great mix of fun balancing from the daily classes in the language school.

🏄‍♀️ Surf, Waves & Good Times

Surfing in Gros quickly became one of my favourite activities. I loved being out in the water, waiting for a wave and trying to stay on the board! Even when I spent more time falling off than actually surfing, it was still so much fun. Everyone in the group was really friendly and encouraged each other, which made the experience even better.

🍢 The Food Scene

Beyond the beaches, the food in San Sebastián has been is incredible. The city is known for it’s local dishes, and every meal felt like a new experience.

 A Culture That Welcomes You

What made San Sebastián feel so special was the local culture. I really enjoyed walking along the waterfront, exploring the old streets and sitting in cafés watching everyday life around me. The city has a strong Basque identity, and it was interesting to experience the local traditions, food and way of life during my stay.

✨ Memories to Last a Lifetime

Overall, I had such a great experience in San Sebastián. I feel like my Spanish has come on leaps and bounds, and I met so many new friends during my time there. I made memories that I’ll never forget, and I’d love to go back again next year!
