School

Our partner school was founded in 1985 and is one of the most established schools on the French Riviera. Your language course takes place at a dedicated summer campus just outside Antibes and has a host of facilities making it the ideal setting for your language programme. The 5-acre campus is set in private gardens and includes classrooms, student residence, cafeteria, several sports fields (football, volleyball, basketball), WiFi area, and swimming pool. A free shuttle bus connects the campus with the centre of Antibes.

Antibes town is in the heart of the Cote D’Azur and is known for its elegant harbour and marina. With over 20km of sandy beaches and 300 days of sunshine per year, it is the perfect location to improve your French and have a wonderful summer holiday.

Course

Students have 20 General French morning lessons which cover French grammar, vocabulary, oral expression, comprehension and reading. The classes are dynamic and fun. Teachers use a variety of techniques including role-plays, discussions, newspapers articles, multi-media and group activities. When the students return after lunch, the daily leisure programme begins where their classroom learning is put into action.

Intensive Option

If you would like to fast track your fluency why not upgrade to the intensive course which includes an extra 6 afternoon classes? The afternoon classes have max 6 students to make sure you get individual attention and maximum language support. 2 afternoons per week Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday.

Accommodation

Students have a choice of either French Host accommodation or accommodation in the student residence.

French Host

To fully immerse you in the language, our partner school arranges accommodation with carefully selected French hosts who are located either within walking distance or a short bus or tram from the school (max 20 minutes). The hosts are visited regularly by the school’s Accommodation Officer and are known to the school (the majority have been hosting for a number of years). Students are accommodated in twin or triple room (single room on request for €150 per week) and you will have breakfast and evening meals with your host and a buffet lunch is enjoyed in the school cafeteria. Packed lunches are provided for weekend excursions. Hosts are approved by our partner language school and can be a married couple or single person, with or without children. The host may sometimes have another student of a different nationality staying with them, who also attends the school. Bed linen is provided (but not towels) and changed weekly.

Student Residence

Bedrooms are spacious and well equipped and sleep between 2 and 4 students. There is plenty of storage space and showers and toilets are located on each floor. Bed linen is provided (but not towels) and changed weekly. Light cleaning is done every day with a full clean at the weekend.
Meals are full board and are enjoyed in the school cafeteria. There is a wide variety of options on the menus and they are usually buffet style and include a choice of meat, fish, pasta, salad and smoothies along with plenty of fruit and healthy snacks. Special dietary requirements can be catered for if made known at the time of booking.

Activities

Morning lessons are followed by a packed programme of sports and activities including tennis tournaments, volleyball, soccer, water sports, craft workshops, sailing, discos, barbecues, themed evenings and events all designed to make sure you have fun, make friends and speak French all day. There is a half-day excursion every week to Monaco, Cannes or Marineland. The full-day excursion to Nice, Monaco or Aquasplash takes place on the weekend. Extra fun activities can be arranged directly when you are at the school (i.e bowling, segway tour). These extras have a separate charge. Overall, the activity programme really helps you discover all that the French Riviera has to offer.

Note a private shuttle service is available for students who wish to go to the beach or the city centre.
