School

Our partner school was founded in 1985 & welcomes students from around the world to the French Riviera. Winter French lessons take place at Le Château school, which offers 22 classrooms, a Provençal garden, a restaurant and panoramic Mediterranean sea views. Students receive 20 lessons each morning of 45 minutes each per week, with an emphasis on speaking and building confidence.

Course

Students attend 20 General French lessons per week, held in the mornings and taught by qualified,  French-speaking teachers. Lessons cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening comprehension and reading, with a strong emphasis on building confidence and developing conversational skills.

Classes are dynamic, engaging and supportive, encouraging students to speak French, ask questions and contribute without worrying about making mistakes. Teachers use group discussions, newspaper articles, multimedia and collaborative activities to bring the language to life. Students practise expressing opinions, talking about their interests and taking part in everyday conversations, helping them become more comfortable communicating in French.

After lunch, the leisure programme provides opportunities to put classroom learning into practice. Through organised activities, cultural excursions and everyday interactions, students build on their language skills beyond the classroom. This combination of structured tuition and daily immersion helps students develop greater independence and confidence in using French throughout their stay.
